Easy to Crochet a Girls Bolero

Easy To Crochet a Girls Bolero

I found this cute Bolero pattern on FaveCrafts which states it is a Patons pattern. Even though this is an easy item to make, the pattern is flawed. I have found that it has missing instructions and sections without endings. It was fine until I got to the Sleeves, Edging and Construction sections.

I did search online to try to find the correct pattern but this was the only website I could find it on.

So, I decided to go ahead and make this cute Bolero for a special little girl in my life. I will give you the instructions that I think are missing plus provide photos.

This pattern covers girls sizes 2yrs to 10yrs.

Here is the link for the main pattern Click HERE
Below (click on link below this line) are photos of the Bolero I made and corrects to what I found.

Easy Owl Costume

by Alpha Mom

The brilliant Ellen from Alpha Mom has created this super easy costume. Here is nwhat she has written and provided.

NOTE: The tutorial, template and photos belong to Alpha Mom.

Here’s an easy way to turn a t-shirt into an owl costume in a couple of hours. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can simply glue the fabric feathers onto the costume with permanent fabric glue found at your local sewing shop or craft supply store. You can cut up old t-shirts or other old clothing for the feathers. So just cut and glue.

Boys Cozy Flannel Scarf

by Susan Phillips at Momtastic

This flannel scarf is easy to make and will get loads of use during the cold weather. Add a secret pocket, and your little one might never take it off!
This is a great scarf for those rough-around-the-edges types of boys.  A sturdy opening for the scarf to be pulled through to aid in keeping it around your little guy’s neck, and it has a built-in pocket to tuck away all the goodies they’ve collected that day.  This scarf can be made in about an hour but your boys will wear it all season.

Now the little ones can wear a fun stylish apron just like mom!

Make the Cutest Boy's Bow Tie

by Papernstitch

A guest post tutorial from Jessica of Living the Swell Life.
They are so fun to make with your small scraps of fabric!
Although this tutorial focuses on a small, kid-friendly version with velcro in the back, this pattern could easily be adapted to be turned into a hairbow for the most girly-girl! But right now I absolutely love the bow tie look on little boys. I feel like the simplest bow tie could make even the most spoiled brat look like a perfect gentleman. This tutorial requires a bit of sewing know-how, so I’d classify it as intermediate level. Now dig in!

Kiddie Cadet Knitted Cap                       Designed by Alice and Grace Schnebly via Kathryn Ivy

We love how this hat turned out. We wanted to design something for kids that was fashionable but not too over-the-top for daily wear. It's perfect for both boys and girls—not frilly but still cute—and stylish to boot. This hat would make a great shower gift for those friends where the normal baby hat just won’t do!
